Aster is big, friendly, and easygoing. In my mind he fills the role our late wether Beezly filled. But he has the advantage of producing large quantities of nice, white wool as opposed to Beezly who produced a matted rug every year for his entire life. As my daughter is getting older and we can do more with the wool together, we are dipping our fleeces, so to speak, into natural dyeing. Suddenly, we seemed a bit short on white wool when we have colors like pokeweed and goldenrod to play with!
